Garden Lakes Boys & Girls Club is a great place to spend Spring Break!
A program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia has been a premier youth development agency since 1953 and provided opportunities for thousands of youth to grow personally and academically in a safe and structured environment. Based on the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs and interests of school-aged boys and girls, we offer activities in several core areas:
Education and Career development programs that provide tutoring and homework assistance, college and career exploration, and a special emphasis in the STEAM subject areas. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia maintains a 100% high school graduation rate among its active members and is the only Boys & Girls Club organization in the state of Georgia that operates an advanced robotics program.
Character and Leadership development programs, with particular emphasis on servant leadership and community service. These programs also center on making good life choices and defining and maintaining good relationships, particularly among peers.
Health and Life Skills development programs that promote good nutrition, teach the importance of daily physical activity and fitness, and the value of teamwork and sportsmanship.
The Clubs offer diversified year-round activities that encompass after school hours and school breaks, and strive to accommodate the schedules of working parents by maintaining hours of operation that fit most work schedules. The Clubs also provide a full USDA-approved meal for all participants during our afterschool program. Our program fees make our programs highly accessible to many families, but we also offer partial scholarships based on income qualifications.
